The Museum of Man is a modern and interactive museum, an unmissable objective for a relaxing visit to Nenea Iancu's city. The museum also offers a virtual tour to those who cannot physically visit it. It is one of the nine sections of the Prahova County Museum of Natural Sciences, which was established on December 30, 1956. Although it has a long life, the Museum of Man has not aged at all. The idea of the presentation with modern museum technical means came in the context in which the repair and restoration works at the Palace of Culture building were completed. Then the permanent exhibition halls were rethought, highlighting the museum objects in the collections by means of new technologie...s. Since March 2013, the Museum of Man has moved from props and dioramas, long appreciated for their spectacularity and beauty, to VR technology and augmented reality, virtual presenter and interactive games. The journey therefore begins in the Hall of Anthropogenesis, where the formation of the Universe, the Milky Way Galaxy and the planets, as well as the appearance and evolution of life on Earth, are presented. In the Anatomy Room we are greeted by a virtual presenter in the form of a hologram, who presents her internal organs, structure and functions. In the Genetics Room, the visitor can travel imaginary inside the cell. The character chosen for the projection is the vinegar fly, which contributed to the development of some fundamental laws of genetics. The Biodiversity Hall is spectacular with over 200 exhibits: plants and animals, exotic and indigenous species, aquatic and terrestrial, both invertebrates and vertebrates. The Hall of Protected Areas presents the importance of conserving and protecting nature. The highlight of this room is the interactive floor, where visitors discover what can happen if man trespasses on a certain natural environment, how fish run away from him when he steps into the water. Nature SOS Hall compares sustainable exploitation and overexploitation, the two areas being separated by a projection of a waterfall continued with a river. Finally, we arrive at the Population Hall, where the diversity of the human species is presented.
