The Buneşti permanent museum collection “Vama Buneşti 1800” is organized in the building of the historical monument LMI 221 SV-II-m-B-05505 and was inaugurated on May 7, 2024. From a thematic point of view, an incursion is made into the history and culture of this locality in Bukovina, illustrating, through archaeological testimonies and documents, the main chapters of the existence and development of the settlement. The history of places of worship, schools, administrative institutions, and cultural establishments complete the picture of the history of the locality. Folk culture is hosted in four of the exhibition halls, presenting the main and secondary occupations of... the inhabitants, household and household crafts. In the exhibition, a spinning wheel is reconstructed, with objects and mannequins, on which the traditional inventory of tools and activities is presented. In the museum, you can also see another ethnographic reconstruction of a peasant blacksmith shop, with specific tools and activities, made according to a local model. The folk costume and interior fabrics illustrate the artistic crafts, the cultural assets showcased in the exhibition testifying to the skill and good taste of the locals.
