The Academy of Economic Studies has set up a valuable museum inside the "Nanu Muscel" house that brings to light both the history of the institution and its people, as well as the art collection in the university's heritage. We climb the marble steps of the platform, enter a small connecting hall, then the large reception hall. In a small display case is placed the "Nihil Sine Deo" decoration offered to the Academy by King Mihai I in 2013 on the centenary anniversary. The rooms on the right are furnished with period furniture, some originally belonging to the Academy (showcases and cupboards). The atmosphere of the Rector's Office is reproduced (according to the exhibited... photographs), with pieces of furniture, books, robes (including that of the academician IulianVăcărel). The second room we enter, after passing a frame made of crystal windows, houses the Rectors' Gallery, a series of paintings with the first rectors of the institution, as well as a series of documents from the institution's archive (study documents, student notebooks, manuscripts etc.). The room on the left side takes us into the world of art, with a series of paintings being displayed on the walls, sculptures made by Liviu Brezeanu, a beautiful wire face of the art critic Dan Hăulică made by Darius Hulea. Upstairs, after accessing the monumental oak staircase with decorated iron railing, we discover a central hall where a beautiful prop representing some books masks a screen on which thematic images are projected; on the walls of the hall are framed pictures from the construction period of the AISCI Palace (1926). The rooms on both sides are generous in space, bright, full of valuable objects: diplomas, photographs, sculptures, books, medals, coins, archival documents – all with fascinating stories behind them. The basement of the building, reached by the same monumental wooden staircase, will host spaces for cultural events, exhibitions and socializing. The yard is paved with cubic granite stone, and the wrought iron fence preserves the atmosphere of yesteryear.
