The house was built in 1908, following the sketches of the writer Mihail Sadoveanu who lived here between 1909 and 1918. The house became a museum in 1987. The exhibits include documents, books, photographs and personal belongings of the writer. In Fălticeni Sadoveanu lived a large part of his life. He left the town when he was 38 years old and many of his works are written here. Each year in November, the admirers of his work gather to celebrate the Sadoveanu Days.
