Here Alexandru Vlahuţă (1858 - 1919) spent a few years of his life, until 1916, the year when, pushed off by the advancement of the front, he took refuge with a part of what he had gathered for a lifetime to Bârlad. During Vlahuţă's first stay at Dragosloveni many of the great Romanian writers were hosted in this house. Here met the three friends: Caragiale, Delavrancea and Vlahuţă. The memorial house was arranged and inaugurated in 1958, on the occasion of the one hundred year anniversary from the writer's birth. In several rooms, on the ground and upper floors, the atmosphere specific of the period was reconstructed: furniture, books of the personal libra...ry, reviews of the time, a few of the writer's personal belongings. Besides, the visitors offer a short presentation of the life and activity of the great late writer.
