It was established in 1998 and is located in the school building of the town of Piatra-Olt, close to the railway station. Two halls present pottery, metal and bone artefacts resulted from the excavations in the camp and the civil settlement of Acidava (Enoşeşti Piatra-Olt). The third hall is dedicated to the local history; the emphasis is laid upon the importance of the railway node at Piatra-Olt by presenting documents, items that belonged to the Romanian Railway Company employees. The exhibition hall is located on A. I. Cuza Avenue in Slatina.
