The museum, a homestead particularly raised to protect the collection was established following a project in collaboration with the local community. Helegiu Local Council built the house, while the students and teachers collected traditional items needed inside a homestead. The collection includes objects collected in the village: furniture, objects for home decoration, tools for weaving and processing hemp, folk costumes, and pottery. There are also books and collections of texts from the village.
